Role spotlight: Diagnostic Imaging

  • September 11, 2020September 17, 2020

At Swedish, Diagnostic Imaging (DI) caregivers work as part of an experienced, multidisciplinary team to prevent, diagnose and treat a wide range of illnesses.

Through teamwork and partnership—and with a focus on the highest-quality patient care—we help deliver on our mission to improve the health and well-being of every patient we serve, treating all with dignity and respect.

Why work in Diagnostic Imaging at Swedish?

Swedish is a great place for DI caregivers to learn and grow. They come to work at Swedish Medical Imaging Centers, Swedish Breast Centers and Swedish PET/CT Imaging Centers, staffed by board-certified radiologists and other licensed technologists and sonographers.

Not only do they receive competitive salaries and best-in-class medical, dental and vision benefits, but also flexible hours and shifts not always possible at smaller health care organizations.

DI caregivers’ roles and responsibilities are clearly defined, and they are supported by care teams focused on helping them succeed—with managers and colleagues offering tangible, practical information they can use to advance their careers. They are valued team members whose ideas are welcomed and respected and receive unparalleled opportunities for continuing education as well as tuition reimbursement.

Our diagnostic imaging technologists are proud to work for Swedish. Says Rachael, Diagnostic Sonographer, Swedish Cherry Hill, “I am most proud of my team. We really care for and advocate for our patients. We are all multi-taskers and we are in constant communication with each other. If we see something that needs to be done, we make a plan and spring into action. We help a coworker when they need it and know that they will do the same for us. We are family!”
