Nursing at Swedish: Go where you want to go

Swedish is the largest not-for-profit health care system in the greater Seattle area, and nurses have always been critical to our organization. That’s why we’ve built a culture where they’re guided and supported through every step in their Swedish career, from training to development to advancement. As surgical charge nurse Max says, “Swedish has had a lot of opportunities for me to go where I want to go.”

Adds Raj, a float pool RN, “It’s important for new staff to know that they won’t be just thrown to the wolves. We really foster a team environment.”

Work where everyone is welcome

Our mission is to improve the health and well-being of each person we serve – and we’re committed to caring for the people in our region and beyond, with Diversity Equity and Inclusion being central to our mission.

We foster an inclusive workplace where caregivers of differing backgrounds and perspectives can experience a community of mutual respect, inclusivity and collegiality, and know unequivocally that diversity is valued.

We care for each other, support caregiver needs and aspirations for professional growth, and voice our ideas and opinions in creating meaning to our work that fulfills our organization.
